Archie Productions, an independent production company which develops and produces creative intellectual property for both broadcast and digital media, launched in 2008. It currently has an active development slate of narrative programming across kids, entertainment and factual.
Most recently Archie produced a four-part factual series Britain’s Ultimate Pilots: Inside the RAF (4 x 60’) for BBC Two, following the success of the company’s three factual specials for BBC Two under the umbrella title Britain’s Flying Past: The Spitfire, The Sea King and The Lancaster, plus a standalone film Red Arrows: Inside the Bubble. All four films won high ratings for the channel, with Red Arrows achieving three million viewers and an 11.2% share of the audience.
Archie’s raft of credits also includes 78 localised half hours of the entertainment format Staraoke for Cartoon Network across six European territories and 39 episodes of the games and gadget review show The Cool Stuff Collective for ITV 1 and CITV.
